"At the Howard School, we really value the sessions delivered by James and SedX. Relationships and Sex Education is delivered through our Personal Development curriculum by teaching staff but to have someone external come in and address KS4 and KS5 students in whole year groups, delivering vital messages and information is invaluable. James caters the content of our RSE to the needs of our students. Those issues are then dealt with in a pragmatic and sensitive manner covering current, vital topics such as the most recent session on Pornography and Misogyny which addressed the matter in a mature yet relatable, informative way bringing to light the dangers of pornography and the unhealthy way it can portray women and relationships. For students to hear about these topics - hear the same message - then be able to evaluate that content and talk to each other and any other adults they feel comfortable to do so with is hugely empowering and can only help them to navigate their way through such issues as they develop into adulthood."
Alison Mulrooney, Assistant Headteacher, The Howard School, Medway
"We really valued having James in the space - he has such a warm energy and is so knowledgeable about the topic. Our attendees ranged in age and identity but all got something from the chat. James knows how to hold a queer positive space and make people feel at home. Would recommend him to anyone seeking to learn more about LGBT topics."

" We have worked with Vicki for years and cannot recommend her highly enough. She builds strong relationships with the students, making them feel comfortable enough to discuss RSE in an open and practical way. All sessions follow DfE guidance and she has always liaised with the school to ensure the sessions correspond with the curriculum and students current understanding. Sedx provides the practical expertise that our students need, delivered by professionals. We are very confident that their advice and guidance to the students is the most up to date and age-appropriate."

"I have worked with James from SEDX for a number of years and most recently we have sought James’ support directly from SEDX. Our learners, like all young people, need clear and accurate advice about sex, sexuality and the dangers and concerns they may face. Our pupils in particular need a careful approach to these topics, but for it also to be very clear and concise.
The pupils have all warmly received the support and advice given in the lessons/briefings delivered by SEDX and are always enthusiastic when they know that they are booked in to return to work with them. Building rapport and trust with many SEND pupils has it’s challenges, especially around sensitive topics, but SEDX staff always put them at ease and work in a positive and calm fashion which works really well in our setting.
Learning about consent and the law is particularly important for our pupils and needs to be very clear to them. This has always been delivered in this way, and the impact is that they have a good understanding of how to keep themselves safe. We look forward to working with SEDX in the future and already have them booked in to return soon."
Richard Searle, Assistant Headteacher & Curriculum Lead for PSHE/RSE, Inspire Academy
"SedX provided excellent support to supplement the work within our PSHE curriculum. James was able to provide a service that was personal to our needs as an academy. Within a full day session, we had asked for specific sessions. In year 7 and 8, James was able to provide age appropriate detail of healthy relationships and misogyny, empowering pupils to safely identify what was a healthy or unhealthy influence in their lives. For year 9, the focus was consent, sex and UK law, which imparted an excellent level of subject knowledge for pupils in a sensitive fashion. Finally, our year 10 pupils received the 'First time sex' presentation, which outlined expectations of what a healthy sexual relationship will be like. In addition to this, James was also able to provide a tailored presentation for a smaller group of SEND pupils. This was pitched perfectly, with a focus on Internet Safety, empowering pupils to ensure they know how to identify risks, and manage them safely both on and offline"

"I have worked with James from Sedx for a number of years and he has addressed my Sixth form each year on a range of topics including sexual orientation & sexuality, consent and hazing. James is great, he is down to earth, relatable and addresses complex issues in a straightforward manner. He has worked with us to address issues that we feel are important and adapts his sessions to our needs. We will undoubtedly use Sedx again next year."
